Based out of Edmonton, the Dominelli Andrew de Toledo trio brings together three of the areas most in demand jazz musicians in an intimate setting design for interaction, interpretation and improvisation.
Their material varies from new looks at old standards to original compositions in the Modern Jazz and World Jazz styles. Between them the trio is proud to have won and been nominated for several Canadian music awards. Some include a Juno nomination, CBC rising star award and Canadian Western Music week award. This trio has worked together extensively over the last 5 years. Mostly as a rhythm trio backing up artist such as: PJ Perry, Kent Sangster, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, Bomba and Ralph Bowen.
For the first time the trio is preparing to record an acoustic Jazz trio album. This disc featuring original and standard material is due out in September of 2007.
