PAn aircraft was loosing weight due to overload. After getting rid of all luggages, the pilot then announced ”We will throw out ALL PASSENGERS in alphabetical order. Any AFRICANS on board?” No one moved. “Any BLACK person?” No answer. “Any CARIBBEAN??” Still silence. Then a black boy asked his father, “Dad, what are we?” He said, “Son, today we are Zulu’s”.

REVOLUTIONAIRY GREETINGSI am Kenny Zulu Whitmore and everyone who has read my story knows I was framed for armed robbery and the political murder in 1973 of Marshall Bond, who was the mayor of Zachary, a small rural community of East Baton Rouge Parish. It is known I was a vocal advocate against police harassment and brutality and that I became a member of the Angola Chapter of the Black Panther Party, once in the belly of the beast. But none of you might know I was a working, young African tax payer, engaged to the mother of my son Rodney, who was born 12 January 1974. I was able to spent 13 of the best months of my life, being a father to my son. However, in June 1973 my wife to be was arrested by the police on a false theft charge. They rode her around town in the police car and threatened her with jail for being my fiancée. Then they put her out in front of our house with a warning to stay away from me. This was one of the police’s attempts to intimidate me, but their attempt failed.I used to be a member of the Union Baptist Church and attended church on a regular basis under the pastor ship of the late reverent Albert Anderson. I did yard work and ran errands for the elderly in my community. My father, my older brother and I once came to the rescue of our neighbour, who was victim of a burglary and while the man was forcing him self upon her with a gun, we stopped him. However, the power that is will have you, the people, believe that I am a criminal, running around stealing, robbing and murdering. But no, that s not who and what I am. I was raised by loving and caring parents who instilled pride, responsibility and work ethics in all of their children.Today my political knowledge has broadened and my education has expanded, but I am still the person I used to be. I have not allowed the years innocently behind bars harden my heart or destroy me, nor will I ever let that happen.Other than navigating my way out of this judicial maze, I am very concerned about our planet, the global warming and the epidemics of HIV/Aids, in particular among the African American communities.
These three issues: the environment, the spread of aids and the systematic incarceration of the powerless in the USA need immediate attention. These issues affect us all, directly or indirectly. What will become of our children, our grandchildren? What will they inherit? A dieing earth, aids orphans or a prison cell. No, I am not the criminal here! I will NEVER give up the moral principals that made me who I am: Kenneth Zulu Whitmore. For more info please visit:

PEOPLE WHO HELP ME TO IN MY STRUGGLE FOR PHYSICAL FREEDOMRead Zulu's description of his first parole board hearing in 2000. This will soon be followed by other unsettling events. PARDON BOARD HEARING JULY 21.2000Hello friends/supporters. At this hearing my family was there to support me even though I had informed them that this hearing was to save the Jobs of the members of the board; not to determine whether I should be released from prison. Still, they wanted to attend.
The first guy to go before the board had done twenty-two years on an arm robbery. His victim was there and supported his clemency by telling the board that he did not know the guy was still in prison until he was notified of the hearing and that the guy should have been out of prison long ago and that he did not oppose clemency. This guy was denied with the victim’s help.
My turn in the hot seat. I was asked did I commit the crime. I said no. They said I was convicted and that admission was the first step toward getting clemency. I told them that many innocent people had been convicted of something that they did not do, even the people who had walked off of Angola’s death row. I said I was innocent of this crime that they wanted me to confess to here on TV.
The victim's wife Mrs. Lucille Bond was a dear lady and was not able to attend the hearing, because she was in the later stages of Alzheimer disease and soon there after she moved on from this earthly life to the rest and peace that I hope she finds in the afterlife. She was in her 90s. Her caretaker was a close family friend of my family for many many years. Neither my family nor me knew her daughter and Zachary was a small county town where every body knows every body.
The chairman Irv. Magri jr. had one of the other members call Mrs. Bond’s home to get her on the speaker phone, and you can clearly hear someone in the background telling her what to say, so out of shear embarrassment the speaker phone were turned off. The woman who is called the daughter never speaks on the phone. This is all on the hearing transcripts. There was no one at this hearing opposing clemency but John Womack who in 1973 had just been a cop in Zachary for three years. Before that he was a teacher at Zachary High School. But quit teaching after mandatory intergradations in the 1970-1971 school year because HE SAID he would not educate a (n) word. At the hearing he claims to have arrested me many times as a juvenile till the false arrest on the 1975 arm robbery. I have never ever been in any kind of trouble as a juvenile. In this was my first conviction of a crime my first time in prison. John Womack helped them to manufacture this juvenile record. See the attached document from the department of juvenile service dated Oct. 11, 06. They have used a manufactured record throughout my appeals and at this hearing to deny me any kind of relief. This hearing got so heated between myself and the board member until the Louisiana Legislature set up a meeting here at the prison to investigate on the reason while so many prisoners here had stopped their request for clemency. The pardon board Chairman was upset because I pointed out to him that the hearing was unfair. After some one called in to the hearing claiming to be the victim son that person said I had the death penalty. And my execution was to take place within days and the Chairman Irv. Magri didn’t clear this up for the caller.Zulu.WHO ABLE TO REACH OUT FOR ME, OFFERING SOME MORAL SUPPORT BY WRITING ME AT:
