Campbell, CA

The Silicon Valley city with Small Town charm

About Me

I was born in 1851, when Benjamin Campbell bought 160 acres and planted it with hay and grain. This acreage later became my historical downtown core. I was officially recognized as a city in 1952. Since then I've been through a number of changes, and apparently there is a large faction of my populace who want to turn everything cool about me into office space. I'd prefer they didn't. For more information about me, visit my website

Oh, and you should know--the tank was a gift from another city, not a large expenditure on my part.

My Interests

coffee, old school punks, wannabe punks, yuppies, beer, history, fruit orchards, rock shows, campbell pd, freestyle battles, the campbell tank, poetry, tattoos, orchards memorialized by cement namesakes

I'd like to meet:

Other cities. People born in, who live in, or who love ME--the city of Campbell.

I don't really get why so many kids from Michigan and Ohio, etc., want to be my friends, but I'm down. But I have to ask, do you really love me? Have we ever actually met?

Music:

The Forgotten, Strata, The Faction, The Fighting Jacks, The Eyeliners, Nerve Agents, wannabe hippie kids w/bongos, Superchannel/Morning Donovan, Rancid, Chris Isaak, Insolence, The ShitKickers, Curbside, street musicians, Shitty Cover Bands that play Boswell's

Movies:

The Lost Boys, Fatal Attraction, Boneshakers, anything playing at the Pruneyard

Books:

Anything by John Steinbeck. The Campbell Reporter, The Metro.

Heroes:

Skoty Respect, Gordzilla, Dreadlock Jimmy, all the crazies who've come and gone here in the 95008 over the years.
