Lagnis is the alias of Christos Panoilias, a native Greek rapper and university graduate. He was born in 1982 and was raised in the beautiful and picturesque island of Syros. His first contact with rap music was back in 1993 when he got the "Ice-T - Home Invasion" tape which got him listening to this genre.

To make a long story short, in 1997 he and his best friend Iosif ( www.myspace.com/iosifntp ) formed a group called Nea Taksi Pragmaton ( something like New Order for everything around us ). Well, in 1998 NTP released a tape called “” The 8t Day '” and in 2001 Lagnis and Iosif move to Athens for their studies. Immediately they start giving gigs cause actually that was the reason they did music. Getting involved with real people, not in a studio. 6 years later, and Lagnis has performed in over 80 gigs with his groups or a solo artist in places as House of Art, Club 22, Mylos in Thessaloníki, in the old airport for Athens Tunning show, support to Busta Rhymes and in the 2006 Sports Show.

In 2002 a song of theirs called “Poios ftaei” ( translated to “Whose fault is it, that you never learned how to love..?” ) was released in a compilation by Plus Rec called “Exoume to soundtrack, vazeis tin Tainia..?” After that, everything that followed happened really quickly in my mind. Lagnis featured in Ominus cd Ominus Odysseia”, than NTP record came out called “Irthe i stigmi na epivlithei” by Hxotron music, a cd that despite the real bad distribution, sold all the copies the record company published.

In 2005 after some tension caused by distance and bad communication, cause Iosif had moved to Syros and Lagnis stayed in Athens, NTP decided to part for a while until they became friends again before partners. During that phase Lagnis went in London and recorded his new solo album, featuring some of the hotest producers in Greek hiphop scene. Those guys are Diveno, Eversor from Phase3, Sinis, Goat, B-Digital, Zanis from Master Tempo, Dj 'S', Dj Carlos, Beast from Soul Bro and of course Stereo Mike. The name of the album is “Dinomai kai ginomai” ( translated as I give myself and get high) and now is in the state of mixing and leveling.

Meanwhile Lagnis recognized as a successful lyricist by many rapers was invited to feature in other albums by popular Greek rap bands as Phase3, Freedom of Speece, Black and White ect. Whats more is that during his studies and his performing Lagnis was setting up, organizing and promoting gigs for his group and others, with some of his latest gigs being really successful.
