About Me
At the age of 9 years old, begins his violin studies in the Music and Dance Conservatory of the Balearic Islands, Spain.
By 14, starts taking lessons with Antonio Colomar, his first guitar teacher.
After that, in 1997, studies modern guitar with Israel Sandoval, Harmony, composition and arrangements with Daniel Roth y jazz guitar with Mark Rossi. In 2002, keeps on his music skills development in the Taller de Musics of Barcelona among the teachers Vicente Solsona, Vicente Martin and Ramon Civil. Later on, continues studying with personal teachers as the guitarrist Dani Perez and the keyboard player Ben Stivers (Bee Gees´ arrangements) among others. In the last years has joined different master classes: Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson and Ron Carter.He has joined many cool musicians:
Between 2001 and 2003, plays with Norbert Finpel (Joe Cocker´s saxophone), Ben Stivers, Madelein Davis (Steely Dan´ singer), Molly Duncan (White Average Band and Incognito´s Saxophone), Salvador Font (Joan Manuel Serrat and Musica Urbana´s drummer), Israel Sandoval (Jerry Gonzalez´s guitarist). In july 2003, plays in the Bel.luna´s jazz club Houseband in Barcelona, with the saxophonist Claudio Werner. That year, in the same city, makes some performances with Phil Willkinson, Melk Jewe and Goran Slavich, in venues as Jazzroom, La Cova del Drac, 113 and London. Between the years 2003 and 2006, performances with Stefan Rademacher (Billy Cobhan and Randy Brecker´s bass player), Cesar Franof (Spineta´s bass player), Dani Dominguez (Llibert Fortuny´s drummer), Noa Shei (Horacio ICastro´s drummer), Borja Barueta (Jorge Drexler and Primita´s drummer) and the singer Errol Wosky. In the year 2006, in famous stages around Spain as Cafe Berlin and Junco in Madrid, La Bilbaina in Bilbao and the Jazz Voyeur in Palma de Mallorca, suddendly develops the Marcos Collado Trio. In the studio, he has already made some recordings: Jesus Palazon and Ruben Andreu Trio. Kiko Navarro. Theater show Soundtrack “Amicsâ€. In 2006, “Kovak´s box†Movie Soundtrack and later on, his first own record: WHAT´S UP.
About touring:February 2005, with Sebasti..n Cardell and his record “Parado de Valldemossaâ€, through Alicante.July 2006, with the saxofonista Inaki Astunce in Burgos and Leon.About his teaching skills:As the year 2004 begins, he starts his guitar teaching career in the Rock House Music School in Manacor, Balearic Islands.
By the middle of That year, he got a job in subjects as guitar lessons, Harmony, Ear trainning, and also jazz and funky essembles in Factoria de So Music School (Mallorca-Spain), linked to the Aula de M..sica Moderna i Jazz of Barcelona (Member of the Berklee International Network), where he is still teaching up to date.
