FORMALLY KNOWN AS MC CHANNEL ZERO

About Me

SQUAAAD UP
Even though Robin Steel is a brand new name in the music industry he is definately no rookie. Crowned one of the best coming out of Chicago, he built his buzz under a different name. MC Channel Zero is what he used to go by. One half of DBD Dynasty's motherlabel HK ENT owners, Robin Steel (President) along with Ready.45 (CEO). 25 year old Chicago born artist, colombian/arabian decent. Besides being featured on over 200 mixtapes nationwide he is also the voice behind the ever so popular SQUAAAD UP chant.
The infamous phrase, "Death Before Dishonor" is popularly known throughout Hip Hop culture as a way of life in close knit families. The DBD Dynasty is that kindred spirit who not only bears it across their flesh but upholds it with integrity in their every move.
Traditionally, the Japanese refer to this livelihood as, "Bushido" (the way of the warrior) according to this, if one chose death before dishonor they would perform "harakiri" (honorable death) rather then face dishonor. Hence the name "Harakiri Ent". (Mother label to the DBD Dynasty) was chosen to reflect their commitment to success, creativity and integrity. (est. 2007)
Ready 45, Robin Steel (formally known as MC Channel Zero) and Big Fluid are the founders of this squad who all met in the late 90's at Lane Tech High School, Chicago,Illinois.
A family whose footprints are deeply rooted in brotherhood and artistic expression. Each member has experienced the worse afflictions in life with repeated family illness and death. Only to make them stronger to bond together to survive the music industry and urban life. These are not local rappers at all. They strive to entertain, comfort, guide and connect with their audience across the globe.
Their diverse ethnicities range as well as their art form; Ready 45 is of Mexican descent. Robin Steel who is Colombian and Arabian and Big Fluid, the Costa Rican. Professionally they have recorded in major studios, created music videos, appeared on movie soundtracks and received documentation in a feature documentary. Known as free agents they will stop at nothing to become a major force and influence to the world!
In the spring of 2007 after already dominating Chicago's underground scene, Robin Steel joined Ready.45 in Miami FL in order to expand the influence of the DBD Dynasty. Together they formed the mother label "Harakiri ent." and in no time joined TVT recording artist, MR. 305 himself PITBUL on a 7 city tour in the U.S. Quickly releasing the first cd under HK ENT the two collectively known as Grindhouse. Grindhouse vol 1 was released during the tour and officially in June of 2007 as a free mixtape in the florida area. Also having myspace.com as a huge marketing tool, the mixtape reached 65,000 downloads in 3 months and counting.
In the process of working on the follow up album "Back from the Future" an electro house influenced single called "2099" was made and quickly leaked to the public, And was picked up by 2 Clear Channel radio stations in Chicago (KISS FM & B96) Which lead to a 1 album distrobution deal offer from Essential Media Group/Universal records. Which was turned down by Robin Steel & Ready.45. The single features the newly signed artist under HK ENT, Jargon also from Chicago.

Incorporating the company in 2007, the two signed themselves as the first artist under the label. Ready.45 (CEO) Robin Steel (President). Also signing DBD artist Big Fluid was a given. Jargon (which is featured on 2099), Luannen (r&b), David Newcastle (r&b) were also recently signed to HK ENT. And a production branch was signed GBC (Gentlemens Beat Club) lead by Ready.45.
