glitter-graphics.comBorn July 16, 1985 in Tenares, San Francisco de Macoris, D.R., Carlos Jose Vasquez going through struggles, and triumphs has come a long way in his life.Raised by his grandparents and aunt until the age of 7, when he moved to New York in June of 1993 meeting up with his mother(Hirma Torres) and two younger brothers(Edgar and Elvin).Taking in the steps of his 3 famous merenguero cousins(not to be mentioned), and his family, his musical influence would soon become more than just a thought.At the age of 15 he began experimenting with music, but finally took it serious at the age of 19. Meeting Raphy Dan in a Kingsbridge studio gave a spin to his musical aspirations. Then the name Don Killa emerged, given to him by his close friend Ariel AKA Flaco Flava.His very first song recorded was "Toma reggaeton" ft. Raphy Dan and Mic Massive. From then on he’s had multiple hits in the company of Raphy Dan and QW(Quisqueya Warriors) records. Some of these include"Ponte Loca, Oh no, wanna be like me, pide accion" in addition to a whole other collection of songs. His first single was Ponte loca.D.K. made an appearance in "The most wanted cd/dvd album" along with Notch, LDA, Pitbull, Tony Touch, Calle 13, and others.Has been featured in some mixtapes in NY, and has worked for people in Dominican Republic and out of state.
