The novel has come to an end...
as of now: James lives in Hawaii and works at a tattoo shop. Martin lives in brooklyn and plays in a band called "urban cincopath." Brendan lives in Arizona and is a teacher. Ian lives in hawaii and is in graduate school and will make more money then all of us combined. and i work at pasquales pizza in brick, and play in an all 80s cover band called "stuck in a decade." i also have an original band with Topher, who was the guitarist who took martins place called "scarlet letter citizen" much love, ash
The CD that made the most progress for us, "Real Life Heros", still has copies remaining. if you dont have one, and would like to help us out by taking care of this limited edition item, please go to this link at interpunk.com and order it...

The price has been drastically reduced to lowest possible, $1.00, and we would like at least anyone that never had an official copy, had a burned version, a recorded cassete tape, or if it got scrathed, to have one of the last few. let friends hear it, and remember the good old days of dancing at shows to such songs as: Dont fade away, One becomes Three, and irreplaceable tracks as brendan's screaming at the end of On My Own.
After the final show these songs will never be played again, sadly, and this is the only way you will be able to hear them.
For many of you guys, the dissenters entertained you on countless occasions...with such acts never to be seen again. Brendan dancing around, singing with his gruff punk voice, and James, with his incomparable stage presence like no one has ever seen before. Paul's smile from behind the set. the smooth silkiness of Jay's body, i mean voice, Martin soloing his heart out at every possible opportunity. Ian's unmatched funnyman antics coupled with some of the best horn playing around
I had the HONOR to share the experience of The Dissenters with these people, and it was all these times shared, laughs, new experiences, and meeting so many amazing people, all shared with these incredible individuals. Such classic new jersey LEGENDS, such as One Cool Guy, the ORIGINAL catch 22 lineup, (of which i used to talk to kevin on the phone before they even got signed) Straight On Red, the Pastabilities, and people like The Youth Ahead, still going strong, who i wish nothing more than the best to.
THANK YOU, to anyone that ever bought a shirt, stuck a sticker on a sax or guitar case, or mentioned us to another friend. we came much furthur along then we ever could imagine when we started jamming in a garage in November of '97. Thank you to Last Perfect Thing, for taking us in, and helping us immensly...teaching us so much. To any promoter we ever talked to, to any fan that ever IMed us, and to all the people that enjoyed the music we worked so hard to write, that we'll remember for the rest of our entire lives. You are all, and always will be, family.
