Based in Medstead in the heart of the GU3, Charming Yet Ill Records is the home of UK Rural Hip-hop. The brain child of Ian Daynes aka Dayne-Z, CYI has helped launch the careers of some of the UK’s most respected rural artists such as Gorgeous Greg, Richy Rich and K-Raggz.2007 looks to be an exciting year for CYI with the highly anticipated release of The Charming Associates debut LP “Shoot Your Cuffs”. Further releases also include The Dayne-Z EP "Hot From The Kiln", the Gorgeous Greg solo project "The Gorgeous Chronicles" and a Dayne-Z & K-Raggz collaboration "The Midweek Binge".Talks are also in progress with documentary film maker Lewis Craggs about a Charming Associates film to be released later this year and there is also rumoured to be an album in the works by Richy Rich called "Aka Animator" showcasing his original beats.Charming Yet Ill Records also welcomes a new artist to the label, The Kinky Monk and we will be hearing some of his work later this year.
