Save Children! Fight CPS!

This profile is dedicated finding a way to reform the laws currently governing what is known in most states as Child Protective Services. This is a place dedicated to banding individuals together for the common goal of finding a real solution to protecting children against abuse. I am one, but I have read your stories of injustice, how you've been victims of slander and lies. Together we can be many. I made a promise. I promised my husband, who has been effectively neutered by CPS, my closest friend in the world who loves my kids as if they were her own, and myself, that I will continue to make myself visible and heard everyday of my life by lawmakers-state and federal alike-in hopes that even if justice fails us, a) I may give justice to the next family, and b) my son may come down to the capitol in 14 years, hopefully with my daughter, and he will say, "You sat here, all these years, through all the governors and all the nasty weather, just for us? You never gave up?" And then I can say, "Yes, and I would do it again." Maybe, just maybe, that will be enough, and I'll be allowed to collapse under the weight of the world at that time. Until then, could you help me hold it? Please?I decided a new profile was actually in order, because to express to someone who hasn't been involved the problems that we're facing, it would take a book larger than the Federal Tax Code. My hope, my prayer, is that I can blog bits and pieces in digestable sizes so people don't feel overwhelmed at the enormity of this undertaking. The scary thing is the size of the problem. The uplifting part is, the simplicity of the solution. Now, we just need to enlist our army. Please, recruit.Now, just a quick not on how I plan to organize this page: I want to put my blogs into three catergories so that you can skip what you don't wish to read. Anything that falls into the Goals, plans, hopes heading will deal with the big picture, getting the laws changed, etc. This is also where I will share resources that I have available, such as contact lists. If you have resources at your disposal that you don't mind sharing, please send them to me, and I'll be happy to post them. Also, if there is some sort of research that you need done, send me a message, and I'll let you know if I can help. If the blog is listed as life, it has to do with my personal story, or my hope is that, others that have been/are going through their own personal trauma will share with me and agree to me posting their stories as well. That way everyone can continue to be updated, and we know what it is we're facing. Finally, I may put something in the writing and poetry if I feel I need to express myself and would deal only in feelings, not facts per se.
