well ... i'm a hippie at heart, so let's get that out on the table first. i have trouble listening to anything that isn't labeled classic vinyl or classic rock: the doors. they got me going. joplin, cream, jethro tull, three dog night, the who, blood sweat and tears - yeah them, too. pink floyd - darkside is definitely my 'one album if ever stranded on a desert island' and yes yes more please to the beatles. its just music that reminds me of home. but i grew up during disco so i also love to boogie with the bee gees, abba, elo, cat stevens, fleetwood mac. and then there's just feel good music/dig it, baby: neil diamond christopher cross, joni mitchell, and peter frampton. music that really feels good like stevie wonder, sly and family, deee-lite, jamiroquai, prince, earth wind and fire, chicago, cake, phish, beck, ben folds *sigh*but i'm not dead yet. i'll take some NIN, U2 and Korn. and i love me so TOOL - loud isnt always bad. i never got into the goth rock or country - just couldn't seem to swing that way, sorry to say.
BSG is the best thing on right now - hands down. i enjoy also Rome, house, lost. but i have tremendous anxiety over the fact that shows like carnivale, firefly and huff were dismissed before they gained an audience - good television is something that now has to be sought out so that means avoiding most network tv. i am enjoying watching dexter unfold, weeds is great too. i gotta say, its mostly about the episodic pay tv right now ...
i am a self professed Constant Reader and truly lost weeks in the DT series - i have been buying Stephen King 1st ed. hardback since my parents handed over their entire collection. really enjoyed the red tent. fave kiddie books are where the wild things are, richard scarry's best story book ever and the big orange splotch. i tend to go for the fiction, and think breakfast of champions is one of the all time greats.
