My Interests

During summer I like to head down to Santa Cruz, or over to Half Moon Bay on the weekends and surf. I spend quite a bit of time in Tahoe out on the boat wakeboarding, and taking my mountain bike up to Northstar for some intense downhill riding. I like to golf a bit when I have the time. Unfortunately, I never seem to get any better at that sport. During winter I also go to Tahoe a lot, do some snowboarding, dine out at some of the local restaurants, and hit the casinos....... but don't gamble. I hate losing money. I have just recently started cycling. I am still very timid sharing the road with cars, but am learning to adjust. About once week I also like to meet up for dinner with friends in San Francisco. I am constantly trying new restaruants. My latest favorite is Levende Lounge.

Music:

Love the Scissor Sisters... Jake Shears is F*CKING HOT!!!! For around the house music, I tend to listen to techno-lounge stuff. In the car my IPOD plays a mix of 80's, techno, and alternative, and of course....RADIOHEAD. Since I am not playing drums anymore... I still need my fix of drum-heavy music. Anything with a great beat.

Movies:

I love movies that keep my interest....(very rare). Some of these include: Mulholland Drive, Requiem for a Dream, Blue Velvet, Memento, American Psycho,

Television:

I can't miss The L Word on Sunday nights!!! Bette is a hottie, and I love her style. I used to love "Queer as Folk", but now it's no longer on (BUMMER!) My next favorite show is Dexter. I love the subtle humor in that show. I can't wait for the new season. I absolutely LOVE Criss Angel. He is so so hot, sexy, and way intelligent on multiple levels. I would go straight for that guy!!!!! I tend to also watch a lot of documentaries, or specials on the History Channel.

Books:

I just finished reading "Freakonomics". That was entertaining and a quick read. "Freedom Evolves" is another good one if you are into the scientific evolution of our freedom of choice and thought process. (I know, that may be a bit dry). Ok then, here's a great one!!!! "The House of Leaves" I highly recommend it. It began as an underground book, and had such a following that it eventually went into print. It is strange, scary, and not in any way conventional reading. Don't say I didn't warn you! I also love to read any book on Philosophy (symbolic logic, rhetoric, and critical thinking).

Heroes:

Heroes??? Well, I would have to say my Mom. I really admire her integrity, and how hard she has worked. She has my utmost respect.
