About Me

Born in March 2004, Shak Nasti started synthesizing supple thumps and crystalline sheets of joy on top of snow peaked mountains. An aggregate of several genres, the Shak managed to coalesce the biproducts into one tantilizing thing. We call it Shirley. The band is about connecting to people, lyrically or musically, or sometimes physically. The music cannot be boxed into a specific movement or "club", so consider it a variety band, playing groove, drum'n'bass, reggae, Americana, and a little afro beat. Shak's alter ego, Florganism is just as intoxicating musically, but leans toward the progressive/ aggressive side.
