Donald Johnson passed away at the age of 36. He is survived by his wife Sherry and their two sons DJ and Jacob.Donald's perpetual optimism and enthusiasm for dance music shaped the Orlando and Florida digital music scene from the early nineties, when it was an "underground" movement, onward through present day with his nascent campaign to use digital music events to educate people about the environment. Through it all, Donald’s motivating force was always love.Many people in the international digital and dance music communities have been entertained, educated, encouraged and promoted by Donald Johnson. He helped popularize specific local, national and international artists by introducing them to new fans in Orlando through his events.Yet no matter how profound or far-reaching his influence, Donald always treated those around him like family. His friendship and encouragement have uplifted and inspired many, many people. I believe that even those who did not have the pleasure of knowing Donald and who have been involved in digital and dance music in any way have benefited from his influence. So it's time for all of us who enjoy the fruits of his life's work to return the favor.Friends of Donald Johnson and his family will be raising money in a series of events to celebrate his life and unique loving spirit in order to provide some financial assistance to his surviving loved ones.The Donald R.
