Influences: I started by playing classical music, that I still love. When I was 16, I get lost for some experimental psychedelic prog rock of the 70s (Gong, Soft Machine and the work of Robert Wyatt, King Crimson - just the first albums, Area - idem, ...). From that I moved to (free) jazz and funk. Love for Monk's pronunciation of notes, love for Coltrane's mysticism (a love supreme), love for the Art Ensemble Phase One and for Albert Ayler, feeling for Hancock electric period and the like. Now I like Steve Coleman's On the rising of 64 paths, Tim Berne's work (Paraphrase, in particular) and some rock music (for example CSI, an italian rock band of the 90s). I see this is not enough, but I am afraid you will get bored if I keep going on with this enumeration that, actually, speaks just to those who already know the names listed above. For now I play improvvisative music, whithout a trace (maybe sometimes there is somewhat a theme). For this reason during every different recording session I am (basically) influenced by the music I am listening to in that period of time (as I believe all of us) and by the previous part of the same recording session.
