About Me

............................................................ ...........................................English:......... ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ....................... It all started when I was still a teenager, with friends asking me to play music at parties and to make tape mixes. Later, in the 80’s, I began ‘working’ as a DJ in bars and Discos. The first gigs were at the "Shangri-lá" (no longer exists) at Cais do Sodré. It was there where I first introduced music from bands like Urban Verbs, The Woodentops, Echo and the Bunnymen, That Petrol Emotion, Throwing Muses, The Dream Syndicate, Husker Dü, etc... At the same time, I aired 2 radio programs at 2 different local radio stations, and these "broadcasts" were mainly about the "Paisley Underground" movement, where one could listen to stuff like the 1st R.E.M records, Guadalcanal Diary, Thin White Rope, Peter Case, The Del Fuegos etc... I also "gigged" in bars like "A Última Ceia" and "Rockline" My main reference was, and still is António Sérgio. Altough I move pretty well in almost every music style, it is on Indie Pop/Rock where I bets for my Sets at LGare Cafe.
