Music:

I'd be here all day listing the music I like, just a taster would be Bob Dylan, Crowded House, Beatles, Jeff Buckley, Grant Lee Buffalo, Aynsley Lister, Blue Nile, Aberfeldy, Weekend Players, Royksopp, Death in Vegas, Shea Seger, Stevie Wonder, Shiela Nicholls, Nina Simone, Keely Smith, Bobby Darin, Dakota Station, Eagles, The Thirteenth Floor Elevators, Velvet Underground, Bowie, Beach Boys, Portishead, The Specials, The Clash, Alanis Morrisette, Simon & Garfunkel, Led Zeppelin, Joe Bonamassa, Blue Oyster Cult, Sam Cooke, Sugar Ray, Bauhaus, Lemon Jelly, The Coral, Roy Ayers, Gipsy Kings, Mylo, Faithless, The Police, Louis Prima, Chris Montez, Mel Torme, Van Morrison, Seth Lakeman, Bobbie Gentry...

Movies:

Again, an almost endless list including Casino Royale (almost cancels all of the rest out - I LOVE it), Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (The Original Version), Bullitt, Grosse Pointe Blank, Strangers on a Train, The Departed, Mr and Mrs Smith, Oceans Eleven, Die Hard (oh YES baby!!), High Fidelity, A Shot in the Dark, Some Like it Hot, Yellow Submarine, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, The Shining, The Magnificent Seven, Le Mans, Pretty Woman, Easter Parade, White Christmas, Mutiny on the Bounty, Room Service, Breakfast at Tiffany's, An American in Paris, The Philadelphia Story, Woman of the Year, On the Town, Star Wars, To Kill a Mockingbird...

Television:

Top Gear, Sex & The City, Still Game, Brass Eye, Mash, Frasier, Kath & Kim, Jeeves & Wooster, The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer, Who's Line is it Anyway?, The Fast Show, The A-Team, Dallas, Monty Python's Flying Circus...

Books:

Not really a fiction fan although I loved the Forsyte Saga, Rebecca, Catch 22 and Stamboul Train. I prefer biographies and social history. The biographies have got to be on dead people (what's the point of a life story if the person's life is not over???) and I particularly like old movie stars and musicians, although I'm also partial to titled folks and the landed gentry (they had lots of affairs, had more money than sense and make for interesting reading!)

Heroes:

I'm inspired by lots of different people, depending on my mood, but I wouldn't say I have heroes as such.
