Not really a fiction fan although I loved the Forsyte Saga, Rebecca, Catch 22 and Stamboul Train. I prefer biographies and social history. The biographies have got to be on dead people (what's the point of a life story if the person's life is not over???) and I particularly like old movie stars and musicians, although I'm also partial to titled folks and the landed gentry (they had lots of affairs, had more money than sense and make for interesting reading!)
I'm inspired by lots of different people, depending on my mood, but I wouldn't say I have heroes as such.
