I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Life began officially in the July of 1975 - Bastille Day to be exact. I was pretty quiet as a child and young teenager. However that started to change in the late 1980s when I discovered rock music! In 1991 I formed a band with two school friends called Epitaph. Later I discovered alcohol and enjoyed hanging out with my old mates in Dumfries - when life seemed far simpler! After leaving Dumfries High School, I went to Strathclyde University in Glasgow. Met some great friends and despite losing a few flats, full use of my knee, lots of drinking games and many thousands of braincells I graduated with a BA Hons in Politics in 1997. Then unsure what to do, I completed an MSc in Marketing at Glasgow Caledonian. After this, in need of a change I left everything behind and moved to France, where I lived in Paris for two years. Much fun was had, and I made some great friends who I have retained to this day.I returned to Scotland in the summer of 2000, buying a house in Edinburgh in 2003, where I have been working in the Financial Services industry for several years (yawn!).
