About Me

THANK-YOU KINDLY FOR VISITING MY PROFILE!

And many thanks to those of you who have taken the time to write comments, messages or provide feedback about my artwork. Unfortunately I have very limited time to reply to messages so please do not be offended if I don't manage to respond (I will try my best). I do read them all and greatly appreciate the feedback!
Comments and messages are very welcome but I will ask that only modestly sized images of a still nature be offered. Also, I would prefer images to be of your own creation where possible.

I am very grateful you have spent a moment or two in "myspace" and if you would care to spend a few more you can find more of my art at http://www.redbubble.com/people/ninasmart

Also find my artwork (including 22 paintings from the FACE NAVIGATION series) at http://www.littlemalopgallery.com.au

My Interests

Pen and acrylic on watercolour paper. By Nina Smart 2008

I'd like to meet:

"; I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

Music:

Music is extremely important to my creative process and some of my favorite artists are: Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos, John Lennon, Moloko, Moby, Fat Boy Slim, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Garbage, Deep Dish, Cassius, Judge Jules, Carl Cox, the list really does go on and on....

Movies:

The first few that spring to mind: "Trainspotting", "The Matrix", "Pulp Fiction", "Delicatessen", "The Shining", "Alien", "Being John Malcovich"... and of course anything with Johnny Depp in it!!

Television:

Except for occasional well researched documentary, I find TV toxic to my health and well being. I do of course still watch it but I am trying to kick the habit (or at least reduce my tolerance level!)

Books:

I have only read a handful of fiction books in my time but consume many non-fiction books of all kinds of subject matter.

Heroes:

The artists I find most inspiring include: Francis BACON, Aubrey BEARDSLEY, Chuck CLOSE, Edgar DEGAS, Lucian FREUD, Vincent van GOGH, Gustav KLIMT, Robert MAPPLETHORPE, Vali MYERS, Pablo PICASSO, & Brett WHITELEY.
