Phil Wilson is a director of Silvertree Records.Silvertree Records was established in 2002 in Cape Town, South Africa. The record company was initially set up to look after the needs of one artist, Steve Van.Steve Van’s first album “Getting Stronger” received favourable reviews. Songs from the album were play-listed on a number of radio stations and featured on TV shows. Getting Stronger was an important solo project for Steve, as this was his first opportunity to express his own song-writing capability. Prior to Silvertree Records, Steve had written and played for the bands Junglebook Vultures and Rust.Silvertree Records is expecting huge success from Steve Van's new album "The River", which is being launched on 25 March 2007.Steve started writing his new album “The River” in 2005 and it began a journey of self-discovery. After 10 years of collaboration with various musicians, bands and songwriters, he feels he has finally produced an album that is a true reflection of who he is, and what he wants to say.The new album is a collection of 10 acoustic rock tracks.
