About Me

I love baseball. I love the pace of the game. It's a slow game not controlled by the clock. You get three outs and nine innings to beat the other team. Every team gets the same chance as the other. It's a game of individualism . You are alone at the plate facing one pitcher, either you hit the ball and win or miss the ball and lose. You can win a game with with one swing of the bat, or you can have the hopes of your team resting on you shoulder only to strike out, and no player would ever hold it against you. All players understand that heros are the men who succeed 30% of the time, but legends are the men who are successful 40% of the times.

My Interests

I love my wife Elenore, my kids and baseball. And I love Yankee Stadium!

I'd like to meet:

Mickey Mantle. I played with Babe Ruth early in my career and Joe DiMaggio late in the game, but I never got to see Mickey play. That would have been nice I think. I would have liked to have seen Mickey and Roger chase down George's home run record. That really got his goat when they caught him. All us boys up here had a good laugh at the way he was carrying on around here.
