Anything involving a STRUGGLE to get what you want or to better yourself. “A means to an end”… well I’m more interested in the “means” rather then just the “end”. The people I meet and the stories I hear that are true cases of rags to riches (either financially or otherwise) continue to be a strong source of motivation. If it came to someone easy… then I’m probably not interested.
