I am here for Friends

About Me

Just a middle aged hippie, nerd, injun, radical, activist, would be philosopher tryin to shed a little light in the shadows.
Though there's a lot of serious stuff on here, especially in my blogs - philosophy and contemplation and life the universe and everything - I love to laugh. My sense of humor is about as off-beat as my philosophy sometimes in a Farside meets Doonsebury meets Mark Twain kinda way. We human critters are as funny as we are tragic and as silly as we are sublime. As the aforementioned Mr. Twain once said, "When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained." It may not be as simple as that....but then again......
About my Blogs: These are mostly columns I've written over the last 4 years or so. They ran in a couple of small newpapers. The column is entitled "The Briar Philosopher". I hold the copyright on all the material so feel free to send them along to anyone you think might want to/need to read them.
Quote of the Day: You can safely assume that you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do. ~Anne Lamott
I really do change the quote every day so check back in every now and then.
