Band Members: I am a solo artist... though I love to enhance my musical visions working with other great artists! My foundation was the classical and electric guitar but I was swept away with synthesis!!!... as well as all the exotic instruments of the World.
All the beautiful artwork on this page was created by John Banks!
Influences: Dead Can Dance, Bjork, Peter Gabriel, Beatles, Ekova, John Adams, Bernard Herrmann, Yes, Pink Floyd, Stravinsky, Debussy, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Steve Reich, Vangelis, Clannad, Cream, Bel Canto, Kate Bush, Loreena McKennitt, U2, David Sylvian.
Sounds Like: ... Heede's music transports you into a constantly morphing, surreal world full of propulsive rhythms, serpentine melodies and floating ambiences. It's a virtual middle eastern dervish in a psychedelic dream with Heede weaving his guitars, sitar and keyboards ... It's the presence of live musicians that sets Heede's work apart from that of cut-and-paste, ethno-techno laptop jockeys."-- John Diliberto
LATEST CD "RITUAL PATH":
Conceived as the soundtrack to John Banks' gorgeously animated "Ritual Path" DVD, this music CD stands on its own -- a blend of world, trance, electronica, rock, and symphonic styles, with a strong spiritual sense.
The music mixes pure instrumental pieces with atmospheric vocal tracks. The music features electronic beats interlaced with world percussion, cello, violin and flute lines, electric and classical guitars, sitar, mandolin, piano and atmospheric synth sounds.
The vocalists that lent their considerable talent to the tracks are:
Jon Anderson
of "Yes" kaRIN
of "Collide" Nijole Sparkis Molly Pasutti
The DVD features artistic videography enhanced by lush organic computer-animation by
John S. Banks. It contains 10 tracks of surrealistic images set to Fritz's lush musical arrangements, and also features 15 environmental loops accompanied by nature sounds or subtle musical textures in 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound.
The "Ritual Path" CD is available at CD Baby.com and Amazon.com, and digital downloads are available from iTunes and eMusic.com.
