His professional background starts in 1981, working with diverse jazz groups , appearing in many clubs and festivals in Spain & Europe: Quartet de Quatre, Quinta Avenida (Festival de Jazz de Barcelona 1987), Elefunk, Doble V, Berlin (Merc.. 1989), Madagascar (Merc.. 1990, Merc.. 1991, Jazz K..lhn Festival 1992, Jazz Leverkusen Festival 1994, Festival de Jazz de Barcelona 1995) Narc..s Vidal Trio, Orquestra de l'Associaci.. de M..sics de Jazz de Catalunya (Merc.. 1990, Festival de M..sica de Torroella de Montgr.. 1992, Festival de M..sica Altaveu 1993), Orquestra del Teatre Lliure (Festival de Perelada 1993, Mercat de les Flors 1995) etc…...Composition and arrangement are an important part of his activity, outlining his work with the group Madagascar, and his trio. The group received the “Associaci.. de M..sics de Jazz de Catalunya†award to the best group of the year in 1993 & 1995 & the “R..dio Nacional†award for its contribution to Jazz in Catalonia...His compositions for big band are: Puerta de Embarque (Performance: Grec festival of Barcelona '90), Forat Negre (Third prize of the SGAE jazz composition competition in 1992), Lladres i Serenos (Premi..re: festival Altaveu '93) Saracatona, Iberiada (Second prize of the Iberjazz ‘98 competition. (Performance: La Habana, Cuba.)..He created the arrangements for “Il Teatro alla moda†featuring Rosa Novell, a show based on Mozart arias. (Xacobeo 99 i Festival de Perelada 99), and for the music of Nadie conoce a nadie, an Alejandro Amenabar’s movie & El cielo abierto ,a Miguel Albadalejo’movie...En Cartel, with Madagascar (Dindi Records), Monster’s Gallery, with his trio (La Col.lecci.. del Taller) & Passejada with the Vidal/Solsona Acoustic Project, VSAP (SatchmoJazz) are some of his recordings.
