RINGCHILDREN

At the Haight St Fair - June 8th -11 AM Main Stage

About Me

RINGCHILDREN - The term coined to describe the children who would dance around funeral pyres with their pockets stuffed full of flowers in order to ward off evil spirits. You know the story "...Ring around the rosie, pockets full of posies, ashes, ashes, we all fall down...". Yeah twisted ain't it...as most childrens' literature is.

RINGCHILDREN is also the name of the outfit of underground San Francisco riff merchant misfits that plays that oh so narcotically sweet brand of psycho/stoner/doom/groove sludge that can only come from the depths of the vampire fog and haze of the SF Bay. RINGCHILDREN live is a trance induced, mind bending tribal experience of pschedelically adorned subsonic grooves topped with intense cathartic energy, lights, lazers, fire, dancing, sweat, naked bodies (if your lucky), and the swirling fragrance of burning sweet leaf.....all to ward off evil spirits...yeah twisted ain't it. Try some it's good for you.

"Ringchildren possesses a good song dynamic...there were many great passages of hard rock riffs and jams. They are accessible enough to gain interest outside the “stoner rock” label, and offbeat enough to appeal to those who like to change things up a little."
- Steve Moore POWERSLAVE Magazine

"Theres this mature sound to the song, like the bands been around for a while and know their stuff well. Excellent song writing, everything just fits together, the snarling vocals, the overdriven guitars, the background synth effects... perfect!"
