Painting means to Javelin Schram creating out of her inner world. In her oil paintings our connection with nature is expressed. Nothing exists what does not touch the other. The more we become aware of our inner world, the more our relation changes with our environs and everything that lives. Her paintings, recently also in Mische technique of the old masters, imagine mythical and symbolic worlds that each tell a story.
Javelin was born in 1961 in Essen, Germany and lives now in Leersum (Netherlands). At her parents place she was raised with art. Especially the work of Thomas Häfner stimulated her love for the Fantastic. He belonged to the young realists and studied at the Düsseldorfse Akademie by Bindel, Champion and Pankok. Later she discovered the works of Joffra, Venosa and Ernst Fuchs. This strengthened her connection with Fantastic Realism. As a self taught artist she studied the technique of many artists and gradually developed her own style.
