Greg "Vibrations" has been playing drums since he was 21 years old.
He has shared the stage with many of the Jazz greats including Grant Green, Sonny Rollins, Calvin Brooks, Charles Earland, and many others...to this date "Vibrations" is still playing with Roy Ayers on a regular basis in and outside of the Detroit area, also in Illinois, and Ohio.
To his credit "Vibrations" has been to Paris, Chicago, Vancouver, Toronto and Copenhagen with Mr. Sonny Rollins. He has also been on a 12 city European tour and played Carnegie Hall.
"Vibrations" is known to many on Detroit's local jazz scene, but there are many out there who have yet to experience-JAZZ EXCITEMENT- with Greg "Vibrations" Williams.
"Vibrations" has graced the stage of the legendary Baker's Keyboard Lounge in Detroit on many occasions and has played in the many Michigan Jazz Festivals; Montreaux Detroit Jazz Festival, Pontiac Jazz Festival, Ypsilanti, and Flint.
He has played on several recordings with Jack McDuff, Grant Green, Roy Ayers, and Charles Earland.
Other greats that he has had the privilege of playing with are Freddie Hubbard, Groove Holmes, Lou Donaldson, Sonny Stit, Jimmy McGriff, Pharoah Sanders, Leon Thomas, and Teddy Harris.
