Dog Sees God

You know they say a dog sees God in his master. A cat looks in the mirror.

About Me

Gurnet Theatre Project is excited to present the Boston area premiere of Bert V. Royal's hilarious dark comedy DOG SEES GOD: CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE BLOCKHEAD, directed by Brian C. Fahey, running May 17 - 26 in the Black Box Theatre at the Boston Center for the Arts!In this “unauthorized parody,” the kids from the most popular comic strip of our time have finally come out of their shells, and America’s favorite blockhead is all grown up. In DOG SEES GOD CB’s beloved beagle has terminal rabies, and his world is inhabited by a comic strip parade of misfits: a missing pen pal, an abused pianist, a pyromaniac ex-girlfriend, two drunk cheerleaders, a homophobic/germ phobic quarterback, a burnt out Buddhist, and a drama-queen sister. When CB begins to question the existence of an afterlife, his friends can’t provide him with any solace. But a chance encounter with an artistic, bullied teenager brings CB a new peace of mind, and sets in motion a friendship that will push teen angst to the very limits. Good Grief!PERFORMING: May 17 - 26. Thursdays - Saturdays at 8pm, Saturday matinee, May 19 at 3pm.Tickets $15 general admission now on sale!! www.bostontheatrescene.com 617-933-8600 Photos by Christopher Ellis and Vassili Shields
