Let's dance to Joy Division and celebrate the irony.

About Me

Backseat Bingo started out back in '04ish as a desperate attempt for two longtime friends, Daniel Allen & Nathan Stewart, to quit drinking... No wait a second. That's a complete load of shit. What really happened is more along the lines of this... Dz & Natty Stew met up in Houston in that thriving dance scene that was happening. One was a very accomplished Drum and Bass dj (Dz), the other some kinda upstart House dj of sorts (Natty Stew). So between endless nights of drinking on other people's tabs, and countless days working together at Chemistry Records, the idea was hatched to get together and make some music. Now this was back when Nathan had formed the infamous Dedicated crew and Daniel was killing that upscale crowd at Red Door. House was hot shit in Houston! Oh man! They were even neighbors! So things are looking on the up and up. So they met up and over many pots of mashed potatoes and endless amounts of alcohol... Backseat Bingo was born. Anyways... Time passed and these two guys were wreckin shit in the studio. Makin some tunes that the crowds were diggin and such. Then Daniel took off to Austin and eventually was the brains behind the "greatest kidnapping in modern day history". He invited Nathan out to Austin to guest dj at the Foundation (killer hot spot in town) and then pretty much told him he was never leaving. Lots of drinking ensued and they got back in the studio and made some more dope tracks. Well shit was rockin on Music Lane and both the fellas were residents at Foundation (Daniel was playing other spots cuz he wasn't a fat, lazy fuck like like Nathan). They made some tunes with Luvlux (Fixture) and worked some beats with some other friends. Basically stayin busy at stayin busy. Then some magic happened and an old friend (who now works A&R for Revolutionary Music) scoped some production and passed it on to some other cats and to make a long story short... three tracks got signed for release in '07. So now these scallywags are back up to no good. Drinking like fish, makin some fresh new beats, and doin the other things that them dj/producer types like to do. There's some talk of a website and such as well as matching haircuts and things of that nature. I guess you gotta just wait it out and see what happens.
