My Interests

Music:

Band Website: pbdigi.co.uk
Band Members: Dean Peters
Ex London Hard House dj who was one of the pioneers responsible back in 1996 for breaking the original hard house sound into the mainstream in London - tuff/ groovy/ uplifting - that soon after took the country by storm. Dean has previously held numerous residencies at Frantic/ Convergence/ Timeless/ Twisted/ Hard House Academy/ Provocation/ XLR8 and Totally Twisted as well as bi monthly at Fevah & Feersum.
Dean has played alongside of some of the worlds best DJs, including, John OO Fleming, Andy Farley, Pete Wardman, Mario Piu, Lisa Lashes, Lisa Pin up as well as numerous london based Djs, such as, K.A.R.L., James Lawson, BK, Phil Reynolds and Ian Betts.
Additionally, Dean has played regularly at some of the biggest venues in the country including Koko, The Fridge, Brixton Academy & Ministry as well as representing Nukleuz & Freezing Point across the country on a number of occasions. He toured the world and his tune collaborations have help sell over 400,000 CDs worldwide.
You may recall that Dean was jointly responsible (with Edison Factor) for producing one of the biggest hard house tunes of all time 'The Beginning'... Dean now spends his time causing mischief in his studio....

Influences: Beach Boys, Carpenters, Bobby Vee, Everly brothers, Elton John, Afrika Bambaataa, Soul Sonic Force, Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel, World Class Wrecking Crew, Dr Dre, UTFO, City Limits Crew, Tim Westwood on LWR 92.5 back in the day, Roxanne Shante, The Real Roxanne, Fat Boys, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Yazzoo, Depeche Mode, OMD and all those 80's electronic bands who were influencing me but I didnt know it at the time.
More recently, K.A.R.L., The Viceroy, Simon the Fireman, John OO Fleming, Darren Pearce & Sander Van Doorn.
Sounds Like: Dean - Since I started buying music in 1982 I have found myself drawn to the more funky, fresh & quirky side of dance music. First electro funk, followed by chicago house/ vocal house and more recently into the modern day dance music arena.
Whilst I appreciate that I have gone about this in a round about way, my music has evolved after listening to music for 25 years. So what does my music sound like - fresh, funky, electronic, modern dance music, but with the Dean Peters sound that was ever present in my DJ sets.
