I play golf, I have a huge collection of cd's, vinyl, tapes and downloads (see below) travel and and when possible, reading, cooking and anything ending in "ing"
musicians, I have a long held desire to form a Commitments type band, but not just motown and stax and old rnb, but reggae, rock n roll, and all sorts really
My fave songs are Aretha's "say a little prayer for you, and the Temps "just my imagination" but a like allsorts really, rock rhythm and jazz to quote chuck berry. I'll give anything at least one listen, Ray Charles, Beatles, Stones, Who, Stax and Motown, Steely Dan, Eagles, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Rod, Elton, Phil and Cat Stevens (or Yusuf, as he is now known) all the stuff a guy of my age would like !The big faves just now are Amy Winehouse, The Kaisers, Scissor Sisters, Coldplay, Joss Stone, James Morrison, Paulo Nutini, Ray le Montagne, Lemar, and James Hunter, so I can be quite up to date when the mood takes me, I'm not totally immersed in the 1970's
all time faves are the blues brothers, and the commitments, the long good friday and Heat are classics in my opinion, I'm not really into "dramas" or horror, but like a good story, some laughs and songs ........
24 and The Sopranos are still the best things on TV, I love anything Ricky Gervais does, I'm sure David Brent is based on me hahahha, Doctor Who, Father Ted and other stuff
All of the Dan Browns, Mr Nice by Howard Marks is a belter and would make a great film, but I can't see a story about a drugs dealer being glamourised somehow
Greavsie !!Morgan Freeman surely the coolest man on the planet !! or maybe Samuel L Jackson, Dhamachari Nagarajah and Yusuf Islam (I did meet him once on Baker Street station, and he was so at peace with himself) Ray Charles
