NEWS: (Updated in 12/04/08)

- It's available through the southbrazilian label Cauterized Productions, a dvdr version of "Introspective fragments". Introspective fragments is a compilation of songs which were recorded between '04 and '07. There you'll find songs since my second demo "Terra nullis - a tribute to Antarctica" to "Die Räuber" or "die letzten Momente von Werther". This work is limited in 50 copies. Available for 5 dollars/euros. I've few copies left. Soon will be available the cassete version, limited in 80 copies, done by Triumf nowej Ery. And I am thinking about to do a second version of Introspective fragments through of the chilean label Prime Unit records, with a second cd incluiding all of introductions, interludes and outroductions that I've done to other bands, such as Inmitten des Waldes, Aderlass, Lenhador, Giboraltar, Nachtkult and Vaesolis.

- I've released the first version of "Die Räuber" in a simple cdr with colored cover. The idea is just to send to labels and few friends, but the ones who want to order this first version, are wellcome. For now the idea is to wait for a while, for the CD version that will be done by the german label Dunkelheit Produktionen. This label have in mind also to release a vinil version of that work. And perharps a dvdr version will be released by the chilean label Prime Unit records. This first and simple version I have done by myself is also available for 5 dollars/euros.

- It's available also the first version of my 8th work, also from '07 - "Die letzten Momente von Werther". There you'll find three long and repetitive songs, completly slow and melancholic, with influences of Beethoven's Moonlight sonata and based by the last moments of the young Werther, on the work "The sorrows of young Werther" of Goethe. - A new song was composed and recorded days ago. It was called as Farewell letter. This song was composed under the inspiration of the end of my last relationship, in the case based by a farewell letter. I will keep this song maybe to release together with some unreleased sonhs which were composed under the inspiration of situations like this one, I mean under the influence of romantic moments;
- After times thinking about, I have decided to record later the work "Die letzten Momente von Werther". Actually I have everything composed, in true since the midle of '07 I had it, but all the songs were very complicated to play and make better recordings. As normally I am very neurotic to record long songs, I have decided to record again two of the three tracks in the future. For now I am thinking to finish the 8th work, which will be a kind of homage to my father. Most part of the songs
of this work are short, but intense. Actually I am trying to make some samples with his voices, through of videotapes, and also I am getting some paintings, texts and photos, thinking about the conception of the cover. The structure of the melodies are more or less influencied by the things done by Philip Glass, I mean like short songs with intense melodies.
- I have finished the 7th work of Lebensessenz. Called as "Die Räuber" (can be translated as "The robbers"), this work is completly based by the first work of Friedrich von Schiller. All of the songs are based by intense moments of this classic work of german literature. More than 50 minutes of an emotional classical music with melancholic melodies. Actually I am looking for a label that can be able to release this work in a CD. During this time I am also thinking about the layout with
draws and paintings. There are two girls who will help me with draws. One can be found here in myspace under the nick of Wahntraum. There is also a friend from Switzerland who is trying to search some paintings that can be used.
- I am composing and recording two songs of piano for the next work of Nachtkult, which will be released by the polish label Old Legend Productions. This work will be a kind of compilation with unreleased Nachtkult songs, plus intro and outro. Marcus Schwarten, aka Gottverlassen, was found dead a month ago because of cardiac problems. It was a tragedy to loose this frontsoldier.
- Soon more versions of old works of Lebensessenz will be reprinted. Nebelhain Productions, from Germany, is doing in cassete the works "Der Abend des Abschieds" and "Le besoin perpetuel". Wolfshade Productions, from South of Brazil, is going to make a special edition of "Der Abend des Abschieds", "Le besoin perpetuel" and "Das Drama der Einsamkeit". I am actually looking for a label to release the first compilation of Lebensessenz, which will be called as "Introspective fragments - a compilation of songs which were composed and recorded between '04 and '07". This work includes unreleased songs plus songs since the second demo. And for sure after the release of Die Räuber on cd, I will look labels to release the tape-versions.

Three long songs based by the last moments of the young and sentimental Werther of the classic "Die Leiden des jungen Werthers" (The sorrows of young Werther) of Goethe. Writing letters to his best friend and drinking wine, Werther is possessed by deep despair, with the impossibility to realize a dream. Here you will find a slow and tragic neoclassical piano music full of a negative sensibility, as a soundtrack to this tragedy which have inspired constantly youngs to kill himselves. "(...) In the morning, at six o'clock, the servant went into Werther's room with a candle. He found his master stretched upon the floor,weltering in his blood, and the pistols at his side. He called,he took him in his arms, but received no answer. Life was not yet quite extinct. The servant ran for a surgeon, and then went to fetch Albert. Charlotte heard the ringing of the bell: a cold shudder seized her. She wakened her husband, and they both rose. The servant, bathed in tears faltered forth the dreadful news. Charlotte fell senseless at Albert's feet. When the surgeon came to the unfortunate Werther, he was still lying on the floor; and his pulse beat, but his limbs were cold. The bullet, entering the forehead, over the right eye, had penetrated the skull. A vein was opened in his right arm: the blood came, and he still continued to breathe.(...)"

Seven songs of a simple, melancholic and hypnotic neoclassical piano music. This work is an audial journey through the classic "Die Räuber" (The robbers) by Friedrich Schiller. A romantic tragedy full of intense emotions, like this part: "(...)Charles: Oh! fool that I was, to fancy that I could amend the world by misdeeds and maintain law by lawlessness! I called it vengeance and equity. I presumed, O Providence! upon whetting out the notches of thy sword and repairing thy partialities. But, oh, vain trifling! here I stand on the brink of a fearful life, and learn, with wailing and gnashing of teeth, that two men like myself could ruin the whole edifice of the moral world. Pardon—pardon the boy who thought to forestall Thee; to Thee alone belongeth vengeance; Thou needest not the hand of man! But it is not in my power to recall the past; that which is ruined remains ruined; what I have thrown down will never more rise up again. Yet one thing is left me whereby I may atone to the offended majesty of the law and restore the order which I have violated. A victim is required—a victim to declare before all mankind how inviolable that majesty is—that victim shall be myself. I will be the death-offering! The Robbers:Take his sword from him — he will kill himself."

The title is in french and means like a careness which never stops. The meaning of that language to be used on Lebensessenz does not have relations with heritage, but a deep respect by the artistic romanticism from France. Germany and France were enemies during the romantic movement in noth countries. Because of the romanticism on Germany and the ideas of Leopold von Ranke the France has created the necessity to start the Methodic School. But the meaning of the French on Lebensessenz is a relation with the sensibility of the artistic vein from France, so does not have relations with the politic situation between both countries. Lebensessenz is not simply a music as an expression of melancholy, is also an expression of conexions with German ancestors, so the fact of the french language on that work doesnt mean a kind of betray to Germany;
Recorded in three nights, in the case the 2nd and 3th in the same night of autumn;
The frontcover is from the painter Caspar David Friedrich, and shows a man in solitude, writing something in the midle of a forest, an idea of solitude that make you more into the necessity to express everything you feel;
There is a part on the backcover with something from the book "The sorrows of young werther", which influencied me a lot on and out of Lebensessenz;
this part of Werther talks like: "May 22: (...) I examine my own being, and find there a world, but a world rather of imagination and dim desires, than of distinctness and living power. Then everything swims before my senses, and I smile and dream while pursuing my way through the world.(...)" In German: "(...) Ich kehre in mich selbst zurück, und finde eine Welt! Wieder mehr in Ahnung und dunkler Begier als in Darstellung und lebendiger Kraft. Und da schwimmt alles vor meinen Sinnen, und ich lächle dann so träumend weiter in die Welt(..)". I think this world can be an expression of what Lebensessenz is: art of escapism, a view through a world which was created to destroy inside the walls of a reality;
The 3th track was composed for a girl who lives dead in my heart.

This work was composed and recorded during two nights of a deep solitude. As the traditional way I follow in touch with the music, all of the melodies were not simply an expression of moments of melancholy, but also were a kind of escapism;
The title of this work is a reference to the end of an relationship. If comparated with the artwork, with the twilight and the couple watching the sunset together, there is a contradiction, because the end of the relationship was not so peaceful, was not with troubles, but simply silent. The reason of why this painting of Caspar David Friedrich is on the frontcover is like a reference to the last moments before the leaving, the separation of two lifes. My music always is a form to express how goes my sensibility, and certally moments like an Abschied makes the sense
of criativity be high, as a necessity of an escapism;
On backcover there is a photo of N. playing piano on his room of piano;
There is also an inspiration of the poem Abschied, by E. Geibel. Originally on german: Abschied: Leb' wohl, leb' wohl, mein Kind, und keine Klage! Noch einen Kuss, noch eine Neige Wein! So licht und freundlich waren diese Tage, Lass freundlich auch den Abschied sein. Sieh, wenn hinab zu südlich fernen Bordder Im langen Wanderzug der Kranich schwirrt, Begleitet ihn ein Traum vom grünen Norden, Es spürt es, dass er wiederkehren wird.So wird auch uns von unserm kurzen GlückeEin Schimmer fort und fort in Herzen stehn,Und treu Gedenken sei die goldne Brücke,Von Scheidegruss zum Wiedersehn. Second edition released by the Ukranian label De Profundis. Cdr limited in 100 copies, including as bonus a Lebensessenz interpretation for the Burzum song "Han som Reiste".
The title of this work was inspirated by a poem called as Traumwald, of the german poet Morgenstern;
The original artwork of the tape contains a very primitive draw that I have done. I did not have a talent to express my dreams through of the draws, but I have tried. It was more or less a kind of imaginary forest where my dreams were created and transformed through of deep and intense melodies as a new form to dream awoke, through of an artificial insomnia;
Also this work was recorded using a videocamera. In that time I simply had no one condition to record my songs. My computer was broken and I simply was not a kind of Ãœbermensch who could get a piano in the back, start to walk to a studio. So the only one way was to try to record using a videocamera;
The cdr version with paintings by the german painter Kiefer, and design by myself;
There is another music recorded days later, with the same essence of Wenn der wald zum Traum wird, but this song will be released later, one day perharps, because the videocamera is broken more than 2 years and is very expensive to buy another one;
This music was recorded during a twilight of sunday, the twilight of my dream;
There is an accoustic project from South of Brazil called as Vento Sulino who says this work was a kind of influence;
during this time, splits like with Naturgeist, Horde of the Wind and Draugurz were planned, but all were cancelled by the silence and by the time;
This title means like "when the forest becomes in a dream".

The first work using a piano;
This work was recorded using a video camera into the piano;
Composed and recorded in 2 nights, except the 5h track, which was added as a bonus to the new versions. The first version, released on tape with few copies distributed, had a poor layout and nothing as bonus;
Terra nullis means something like "land of no one", in latim, like a reflection of the situations of Antarctica imposed by the globalization. The land should be of no one, but in the same time respected by everyone.;
The first edition was released on tape, and later was released by Gungnir on cdr, incluiding a bonus track;
The last song is not piano music, but some kind of progressive ambient, like Tangerine Dream or maybe Vinterriket on the times of "und die nacht...";
This work was recorded under the musical inspiration of Noctivago, in the times when I was moved my many emotional troubles, drinking a lot and using a lot of antidepressive pills;
The idea of the second track was completly changed when the recording started: was to be a cover of the german band Regnum, but only as piano, but the music started with wrong melodies, so everything of this music was composed and recorded in the same time;
The 4th track was recorded between 6 and 7am of a monday and you can hear between 21:35 and 21:40 a truck on the street;
The last track was composed and recorded in the same time, using a borrowed keyboard, under the influence of Vinterriket and Ildjarn;
Terra Nullis wanna be an hypnotic journey through of the imaginary cold lands of Antarctica, through a primitive and melancholic neoclassical piano music with slow and repetitive melodies, like a transcedental minimalism. Reflexions about this dying land which is going to be a myth. Frost now becomes as water, and the humans will die swimming in their own poor objectives, dying by the natural revenge of the mother nature. 01. A primitive ambient music with vocals, recorded in winter '03, gove the beginning of Lebensessenz; Lebensessenz means like essence of life, something relationed with a personal vision of life and world; The title means like "solitude, hate and darkness are the essence of my life. Certally is not the best description of what Lebensessenz means in nowadays, but was something that expressed what I felt when I have recorded this first demo. The expression through of the music can be the expression of the situations in the personal life, so this title is the meaning of a time when I was full of emotional negativity; A split with Draugurz and Naturgeist were planed during this time, but later both members never talked anymore about that idea; There were some tracks which were recorded during the end and beggining oof 2003 and 2004, everything directly on tape, but for now its lost. 09. T.B.A '07/08
This work will be a kind of nostalgic homage to my father, dead in June of this year after serious health problems. During his 75 years of existence, he done many things. Was an excelent doctor, a great musician, a great writter, a great painter and for me principally a great man. Through of the contact with him, plus the voice from my own blood that I have followed, I have started to be interested to be touch with the solitude, the nature and the art. All of the songs of this work are very short and intense, more or less in therms of structure influencied by Philip Glass, like short remembrances that run in my mind during different times, different emotional moments, different seasons. This work will be enclosed with some poems, photos and paintings from/about him.
