It is estimated that more than 400,000 people have lost their lives in the continuing conflict.About 1.9 million people have been displaced and nearly three million people depend on international aid for food, shelter and basic health. Violence has made it extremely difficult for humanitarian workers to continue to effectively respond with needed relief. Acute malnutrition has reached 27 percent in some parts of Darfur and health care systems are failing. Sexual violence against women and children is widespread and people yearn for a place where they can feel safe.The world cannot and should not allow this senseless loss of life to continue. There is so much pain in this world right now,so much hurting,fighting,killing,famine,wars over nothing,mother earth is weeping.we can not expect change to come unless we as individuals use our voice to change it!
I dream of a world where children are not dying from hunger,a world where parents are parents,they do not forsake their children,a place where humans are not dying because of aids and not having the available medicine,I imagine a world where people care for one another,help one another,a world where women are not beaten and raped everyday,a world where children are not physically, sexually abused and neglected , kids are the biggest victims,our children are the future,its our job to help them grow into good people with good values and morals,I dream of a world where humanity is strong,there are so many evils in this world but I believe there is more good,despite the horrors I have seen , I have faith that a change is coming we need to stand up!
use your voice anyway you can,vote,write letters,get involved,learn,inform yourself,but most of all open your eyes up,be awake, be aware!I work with 3-5 year olds, I love kids because of their purity and honesty! they know how to have fun and laugh,i think to live well you have to stay young at heart!
I am writing a book and hope someday it will find its way to those who need it most. I love people all sorts ,colors,shapes and sizes as long as they are genuine and good in their heart.I adore mother earth and her ability to endure us stomping around on her everyday,i try to tread light out of respect.
my outlets are writing,singing,guitar(just learning),drums,music,making furniture,painting,poetry,just hanging w/friends and family, exploring the great unknown.watching my daughter laugh,watching her grow and learn,playing,hiking through the woods,watching the waves at pine point,looking at the stars and feeling small. a spring day going on a ride listening to good tunes,swimming.music and its ability to move me in so many directions,drum circles,sitting next to a river,sitting in the middle of a field filled with fireflies.natures gifts!EVERYTHING WE NEED WAS PUT HERE IN THE BEGINING.
