Ain't That The Truth

About Me

Travis Tyler grew up in DeQueen, Arkansas. He currently resides in Tampa Florida. Recording has started on Ain't That The Truth, due out this summer. With sounds that range from dry, soulful country to psychedelic, hillbilly rock, and everything in between, Travis heads back to his Arkansas roots. "I'm really making a conscious effort to keep things loose on this one. I just want folks to feel like they can take their shoes off and have a good time." Travis and longtime friend and bandmate, David Hoffman, are also working on a new incarnation of their original band, Plastic Jim. "Dave and I have been playing music together for over ten years now. After that amount of time, jamming together is like eating or breathing or something. It's just natural. This new Jim disc will only be a slight return to the old PJ catalog. We want to keep it fresh. Plus, it's been a long time since that group was on the scene and he and I are both in different places in our lives, and music, than those days. We'll still pull out some of the old faithfuls for the og crowd, but they'll be few and far between."I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
