brittle pages of AMERICAN PSYCHO. Advancing age and complacency overtook me. Four years ago I reread my own book
and found myself compelled by bateman, horror of horrors had i become sympathetic to this man? I was increasingly unable to turn away from the violence which so terrified me, violence i had experienced before, it had been created by a malevolent force within the instrument of my own psyche. Rereading that book has reacquainted me with that malevolence. the BEAST in ELLIS has found a home again. I call this terrifying new mental terrain LUNAR PARK. The beast has returned!
