Diana Briscoe

Diana Briscoe,soprano regularly performs on stage in opera, concert,and in theatre.Recent roles include Violetta in Verdi's "La Traviata", Pamina in Mozart's, "The Magic Flute" with Opera Pasadena as well as there recent production of Mozart's "Don Giovanni".This past summer she also performed the roles of opera singer/victorian school teacher/Rene Magritte's "anonymous man" in,"This is not a Pipe Dream",part of the Shakespeare in the Park series at Barnsdall Art Park in Hollywood.Recent concert appearances include concerts at The Asian Pacific Museum,Valentines Songs of Opera and Broadway at Dr.Music,Southern California Lyric Theatre's Fairytales and Fantasy 2 sponsored by the City of Sierra Madre's Concerts in the Parks Series,as well as Second Sunday Concerts sponsored by The Tuesday Musicale of Padasena.Diana also performs Improv Theatre with the G-City Program,including a recent appearance at Theatre West.She has recorded and performed,"Harmonic Engagement"performance art sung in an operatic singing style based on current social issues directed by visual artist Jennifer Nelson.In 2007 she will premiere the role of Camille in Len Vandegrift's award winning play,"Engaged" and will perform the role of Josephine in Gilbert and Sullivan's,HMS Pinafore with Opera Pasadena.Diana is a student of the internationally renowned american soprano,Ella Lee.
