Dark Water Transit

Dawn of the Goblin is here....rejoice!

About Me

dark water transit started playing together, wait a minute, let me back up....back in 1998 i was working in this shit-hole deli. we were slammed like a mutha and short on employees and everyone my cokehead boss would hire was just as much of a fool as she was. so one day, busy as shit, this dude rolled in looking for a job. he seemed competent, so i told him to wait there, i'd be right back with the boss, as i said before, she'd hire anybody so said fellow was in, just like that. next day, dude rolls into work and i think i was listening to my bloody valentine or something and dude (from this point forward, to be known as paul) was like "cool brother, what else do you listen to?" we talked music and realized we had very similar tastes. a couple days went by and paul told me he played guitar in a band named compression. i played drums but never really for a real band and had just started messing around on guitar with my drummer friend kurt. so one day after work, me and paul went back to his place to get our drink on and our smoke on and after a little buzz i felt a bit more confident so i ran out to the car to grab a tape of a song or two that i was working on. so i played the stuff for paul and he was like "dude, we're playin' together!!" the following tuesday was the first time kurt, paul and i had a practice and here we are!!enough history...we are currently working at tvr studios on a project. this project is the soundtrack to the original dawn of the dead. we basically picked out 4 songs from the movie that the band goblin composed and performed and rehashed them out dark water style complete with violin, cello, keys, moogs, saxophones, trumpets....all kinds of goodies. we are set to mix with drew mazurik and will be sending the final mix off to master in memphis in early july. release is set for early september. a tasty little treat this will be!!!cory
