How much is it going to take?!
For us to open our eyes and see we're being raped.
Stripped of our dignity and left out to rot.
Scattered like the trash along our crumbling cityscapes.
Worthless to the powerful we strive to feed at their table.
Why are we so unable to see, that in the course of human events,
one and all must make a stand to take action against one's oppressor. To uphold the very principles this country was founded upon. This is the land of the free and the home of the brave, not the land of the haves and home of the slaves. Right now, if your still reading this your thinking "I'm not a slave". That's right! We're not slaves so let's stop acting like it. Stop allowing politicians and corporations to encroach ever deeper into our personal lives. Let's pull the blade of consumerism away from our throats and place it where it rightfully belongs. At the throat's of corporations and force them to respect the consumer. Let them know we are not disposable entities that will be replaced just as quickly as their products and unsafe practices kill us off. We must shake our indoctrinated insecurity which forces compliance. Our proud nation once lead the world by example. What example are we setting today? Whose future are we really securing? Ask yourself that! As we consume ourselves into obscurity.
