About Me

something against you is a four piece rock band based out of Boston. In one form or another this band has been around for 5 years. In early 2004 they released their first full length recording titled "know your role", a not so subtle jab at the forces around them trying to direct the band in directions its co-founders, Douglas James and Scott Guarente, were not ever planning to go. With the release they finally had a product to sell. They eventually were lucky enough to find Jon Durocher to play drums for them. The passion for the music was evident in the room from the first rehearsal on. In late 2006, they decided to go back into the studio and the final product "fading like the light from the stars", was a giant leap forward in terms of sound quality and creativity. Mixed and mastered by Steven Slate of Slate Studios in Hollywood, it is truly a record that they are proud of from end to end. They recently replaced their bass player again, the new man is named Nicklas Galley and is a strong addition to an already deep and veteran lineup. They are already hard at work writing new music and planning shows in the northeast for 2007 and beyond.
