Welcome to the new age of photography as seen through the eye of generation X's up and coming digital photographer, Joshua John. Joshua was born in southern California in the early 70's and raised in the south west part of the United States of America. His life growing up was anything but typical allowing him to view the world through unique eyes. His art of photography has been called abstract, unique and innovative with a natural flow and feel. This artist prides himself on his great attention to detail as well as his framing and composition. Him self and his work have been called aggressive, which allows this photographer to do anything he needs within legal means to get the shot he wants, not much will detour him from his self expression! His work has also been called visual poetry.In the late 90's the artist was diagnosed with a rare degenerative and painful form of arthritis. Having to start over in life, he decided to embark on a expressive career in media. He studied Journalism and Television Arts at a small community college in northern California, and tapped into his innate abilities. He started interning with private production houses, while at the same time dealing with severe pain day to day. A year later he was working as a cameraman for a show on television in a top 5 world wide market as well as being the youngest cameraman to have his work on an NBC affiliate "in said market" at the time, he also had an independent career shooting weddings, personal video projects, corporate video and work as a P.A. for a few 35mm film shoots. Joshua moved slowly to still photography. Out of the 7 yrs working in the media industry, the last 4 years have been prominently spent as an artistic/creative still photographer. Today, when his pain allows, he takes walks where ever he can, whether it be in Holland or America. As he walks, the artist photographs things that inspire him, things he sees as beautiful, things he thinks the rest of the world and local community might miss as they hustle and bustle through their lives, benign to the beauty that lies right in front of them.This artist's expression of himself is simply put... It's a photojournalistic style for the 21st century, or as Mr. John puts it: "see the beauty that is in front of you EVERY day! Whether it is a flower growing alone in a street of stone or a cloud in the sky, a beautiful sunset, or a beautiful doorway made of brick. See the beauty in a rain puddle as the sunrays play with it. See how the puddle and your boot make a great splash, like when you were a kid! See the reflections around you, showing you things you would never see! See the history you walk past every day, how they are moments of time and expressions of artist's past."
