Miasma Magazine is the harshest metal music magazine in Finland above all because it is the one and only Finnish music magazine that deals strictly with metal and phenomena closely related to metal. The magazine has its roots on a fanzine scene, it is published irregurarly since the early 90's. From June 2004 it has been published regularly and the magazine has taken its place among Finnish metal media.
For our magazine metal is not only the music considered to part of its genre – in other words not just the sound itself. For us metal is clearly a subculture of its own which we pursue to deal as a whole through interviews as well as other kind of articles and columns. Extreme phenomena around extreme music are important issues for Miasma and we will do our best to bring them forward beside the music itself.
On the pages of Miasma one can also come across non-metal issues. However, we have the rule of thumb that even if all the text isn't necessarily about metal, everything has to have something significant to do with metal. Therefore, each and every of our articles is always strongly connected to the most essential – 100 % pure metal.
Miasma is a harsh magazine. We introduce the grotesque backgrounds of brutal music and we do not merely creep with self-explanatory and correct issues. We are not trying to please anybody and we do things the way we do. Otherwise Miasma sure wouldn't be the harshest of its kind.
