The first version formed in 1960 in Plattsburgh, NY. They recorded two pedestrian 45s under their own name for Rondack Records as well as a stunning instrumental under the name Shawn & The Sunnys for the same label. Adding members from Mike & The Ravens and relocating to Burlington, VT in 1963 they briefly backed Sandu Scott and appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in December 1964. Down to a trio, they recorded a brace of unforgettable 45s, "There Was I" b/w "Without A Song" and "Heart So Cold" b/w "A Taste Of Honey" in January 1965.
