If a review could be written in just one word and still be fair to a band I’d have to write “intense†next to this one and just leave it, but in this case their music is so good that ARMOROS shouldn’t be ignored. Okay, so there’s a feel of SLAYER in there but it’s not very often these days that a band leaves you a senseless wreck foaming at the mouth wondering where the next excellent riff is coming from, is it? “Autopsy?Dementia†is the source of some of the heaviest riffs this year and I love every second of it. The tape isn’t ideal, Rick Lee’s vocals often seem too quiet, but on this tape, affectionately titled “ Ressurecdeadâ€, ARMOROS have proved that there’s still plenty of musical potential floating under the surface. When I listen to “Euphoria†or “ Terminal Death†I project the band on to vinyl after the touch of a sensitive producer and I’m left screaming with delight revelling in complex riff changes and the power of Jed Simon and Mike Sudar. There’s something here which could be the biggest thing since DEATH ANGEL so I recommend that every metalhead should harass the band for a copy of this and find out where all those excellent riffs disappeared to when all the really poor thrash acts started to take over.
