About Me

A performing arts organization created in 1978 to service the needs of "at risk" and disenfranchised inner city and rural neighborhoods of New York, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi and surrounding areas thereof.

The needs of family, children and elders are the primary focus of the company.

The group presents Story Theatre, One-Act Plays, Creative Workshops, Special Holiday Activities Events.

Programs include SPICE - Special Programs In Cultural Expression; NEAT - New Ensemble Actors Theatre FETCH - Funtime Educational Theatre For Children M&M - Mime With Music

The company is a member of Alliance of Resident Theatres New York; Erie Arts Fund; and Arts Horions. Support is received from indiviuals, the New York State Council On the Arts, Erie Area Fund For The Arts, Erie Community Foundation, the Independence Community Foundation, and the Pennsylvania Partnership.

My Interests

Experiemental, surreal and variety arts theatre which includes an element of acting, singing, dance, pantomime, masks and face painting.

Heroes:

African American Performers from The Vaudeville and Black & White TV era who had to "wear the mask" and endure humiliation and scorn from blacks and whites for doing their craft. They paved the way for modern black Mimes, Clowns, Comedians and Variety artists to perform what they will, with dignity!!
