I attended law school at the University of Texas at Austin. I joined the New York County DA's office in 1998 and was transferred from the Narcotics Bureau to replace Jamie Ross as Jack McCoy's assistant.
I'm an uncompromising, zealous prosecutor more likely to seek the highest penalties than make plea bargains. Even though we often disagreed, me and McCoy grew to respect each other deeply.
I also worked as the ADA for Special Victims Unit until 2000 when Alexandra Cabot came.
In 2001, I accepted an offer to join the US Attorney's office in New York City, where I now work as an Assistant US Attorney generally in Federal Major Case, and Serena Saoutherlyn replaced me in the DA's office.
