THANKYOU for two OUTSTANDING years with "THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH".RODNEY VAN REENEN : Biographhy:Rodney van Reenen from Hanover Park, Cape Town,South Africa and his wife NURAN van Reenen from Sivas, TURKEY.They met in Italy and were married in England and have traveled and performed for more then 22years. Rodney left home at the age of 13 to travel on tour with the circus. Before going on tour,Rodney spent most of his time after school at the Hanover Park Community Center where he develop an interest for gymnastics.Under the guidance of his coach MR.BUCKS,Rodney quikly became one of the best gymnasts in Cape Town,Unfortunately,Rodney and Mr Bucks could not compete in competitons.[The South African govermant did not allow black people to mix with whites intil Nelson Mandela became President of SOUTH AFRICA. Rodney,detrmined to prusue his athletic career joined the Boswell Wilkie circus for 3 years.After an eye opening and Physical EDUCATION Performing tour all around South Africa, Rodney received a contract to perform in Europe.At the age of 18 Rodney stunned the circus world by creating the act,"AYAK BROTHERS" With IVAN SOLOMONS .[Ayak maens FEET TO FEET in Turkish].The ONLY trapeze act in the world with;no net,25 feet high,and catching only by their feet. The "AYAK BROTHERS" have won numerous awards. In 1988 the "AYAK Brothers"Proudly worked with the Swiss National Circus Knie,an exclusive and one of the most higly respected circus in the world, especially in Europe.In 1989, One of Rodney's Biggest idols,Mr Kenneth Feld ,oner of Ringling Brothers Barnum and Baily circus, Flew to Switzerland to personally meet and sign the "AYAK Brothers"for the United States to perform in"The Greatest Show on Earth". AT the age of 28 the "AYAK Brothers" performed in Berlin, Germeny at the "FRIEDRICH STAD PLAST",.the biggest theatre review show in Europe.The "AYAK BROTHERS"also pruodly reseved 2 FIRST PLACE AWARDS from the Judgers and the AUDIENCE at the International Circus World Campionships in HOLLAND. When Rodney's 2 sons LUCIEN and ARMANI were only 16 and 12 years RESPECTIVELY,Rodney pruodly introduced the circus world with the "AYAK BROTHERS'S NEXT GENERATION".Perfornig 25 feet high and cating only by their feet whith NO NET!!!Another of Rodney and Nuran's van Reenen pride and JOY is their 23year old son ,ASHLEY VAN REENEN.Ashley's talent as an up and coming art artist working in pastels and multi media are widely accepted on the eatern coast of the United States.
