About Me
So far there's only a couple of us working here, with a lot of help from volunteers! I'm Elaine, I mostly do the advertising stuff; Jo is the Editor (and Captain/Commander/Chief!)
Here's the serious bit about what we do:
G41 is part of Southside Media , a not-for-profit social enterprise based in the thumping heart of Glasgow's southside.
We want to publish media that give people news and information that they can use to help transform their communities from the ground up. And we try not to be too po-faced about it.
We were the first newspaper in the UK - and possibly Europe - to be produced entirely using open source software - three cheers for Linux , Scribus and The Gimp !
So why are you reading this on MySpace? Well, in our centre pages we publish a 'What's On' guide for the area, promoting all sorts: music, art, theatre - even knitting! Please get in touch if you are doing something in the G41 area that you think people should know about - it's freeeee!
