“Painful as it may be, a significant emotional event can be the catalyst for choosing a direction that serves us-and those around us - more effectively. Look for the learning.†~ Louisa May Alcott
"I have only done what comes naturally, what the average American does secretly, drenching himself in guilt fixations and phobias because of his sense of sinning. I have never felt myself a sinner or committed what I would call a sin." --- Mae West
With few exceptions, like bands or friends of people I know really well, I don't generally friend people I don't know. I am not here to get the highest count on my friends list. So send me a message if you are interested in an add...I will generally reply promptly...onto other stuff...
I am a writer-dancer-artist, a sometime poet and closet singer. I have a corporate day job that is my secret identity. My superpower is my own business.
I love horror movies; the more zombies the better and if it has eighties music and big hair...that's a bonus. I collect vampire and occult folklore with a preference for local New England tales. I adore spooky stories that make me go to bed with the light on. I also entertain myself with martial arts films.
I like to workout and have a very difficult time if I have to spend a day not doing something physical. I have been known to try to lift heavy things just for the fun of it.
I don't smooch and brag. I don't like doing dishes, laundry or making the bed but I do them anyway. I have been known to crush on anime. I love my big black boots. I sleep with a stuffed bunny named...Mr. Bunny. I like to give backrubs (and recieve them!). I think I probably talk too much...
My creative passions are writing and dancing. I love to move and often express what I am feeling through dance and other forms of movement. I am on the verge of becoming a performance junky. I write nearly daily (yes more than just here) and have a goal of getting something published in the next year.
I grow things. Mostly in pots in my small back yard. I craft with yarn, fabric and paint. I find new uses for old things. Like most crafters I have an excessive collection of materials that I have yet to organize and an overly long to do list.
I live in the city, though not a large one; I am at home here. I see the cycles of nature here among the bricks, just as much as I see them among the trees.
