Scott Adam Burd

After an extended hiatus from my successful (yeah right) musical career, I'm back. If you don't know who I am, I've had brief but fun stints in several South Florida rock and metal bands over the years such as Six Pound Tongue, Homebrew and Drop Silo. After Drop Silo broke up, I kind of gave up on music for a while; however I couldn't stay away for long. Since I was a kid I've tinkered with home multitrack recording, and I've recently had the itch to write and record some solo work.
I'm in the process of recording my first "full-length album." Not that that means much, since I'm not actually a signed artist. But thanks to the Internet, it's a lot easier for up and coming musicians to have their music heard, so I figured I'd give it a go.
As time passes, I'll upload some selections from my upcoming CD, "Inner Ghosts." The music I've been writing lately is mostly melancholy Adult-Contemporary styled piano rock. The CD will also include some more upbeat songs that I wrote with my brother, Mark (who is the lead singer of the popular South Florida band Battle Axis), and my wife Valerie. Mark and Valerie will also be featured as guest performers on my upcoming CD.
I haven't performed in quite some time, but in the next few months I'll be performing an acoustic solo act at a couple of open mic nights in the area. I'll post the dates I plan to perform when the time comes.
